The Opposition Finally Stirs

George Soros is working to pull together a coalition of left-leaning groups and backers whose goal is to defeat George Bush. What this suggests to me is that influential people are finally beginning to realize the amount of damage he's doing to the United States and to the world. About time.
The organization, Americans Coming Together (ACT), will conduct "a massive get-out-the-vote operation that we think will defeat George W. Bush in 2004," said Ellen Malcolm, the president of EMILY's List, who will become ACT's president.

[...] In a statement describing his reasons for giving $10 million, Soros said, "I believe deeply in the values of an open society. For the past 15 years I have focused my energies on fighting for these values abroad. Now I am doing it in the United States. The fate of the world depends on the United States and President Bush is leading us in the wrong direction."
Also recall that Soros was behind We Deserve The Truth.

Can you say, "The Red Herring President"?

First he shifts the focus from his post-911 failure to capture Osama Bin Laden by turning America's focus toward Iraq. Then he goes to war to keep America distracted from our failing economy. And now, presumably to distract everyone from the failed efforts to find WMDs and/or capture Saddam Hussein (or produce his corpse), he accuses billionaire George Soros of aiding and abetting Hussein until after the 2004 election!

Is there no limit to his lies???

Hey Brian -- That link doesn't seem to work. Do you have any other corroboration?

Yeah, I also find no stories from the last few days that mention Soros and Hussein.

It doesn't seem like the kind of thing Bush would issue from his own mouth, either.

Brian: got any evidence for your claim?
