We haven't said much about the Veepstakes for Kerry here. In one sense, I really don't care. I already think Kerry's going to have a really hard time in the general, and I don't think a Veep choice will make much difference unless Kerry makes a very bold choice (say, Dean, McCain...). That said, I am dismayed at the rumors swirling around that Gephardt is on the short, short list for Kerry Veep.

My gut reaction says that would not be one of his better choices. Gep should be Secretary of Labor. For VP, at least find someone who can be a little bit inspiring.
