Bush Cuts And Runs
Very curious to see the transcript (or video) of this event, but it must have been something:
Yahoo! News - Top Stories Photos - AFP
US President George W. Bush walks away from a briefing with the media, refusing to answer questions after he was asked about Enron and the reported indictment of former CEO Kenneth Lay, who was a close adviser and fund-raiser for Bush and his father, earning him the presidential nickname of 'Kenny Boy.'(AFP/Paul J. Richards)
Mr. President, isn't it a
flip-flop to start a briefing and then walk out?
As a Kos commenter asked: will he do that in the debates, too? The questions will surely be harder...
The media's abuzz (again!) about the idea of dropping Cheney from the team; I'm not convinced that Cheney's the biggest liability to the ticket, people...

Well, well, well! I was away from my desk/computer all day, so had not heard about this.
Question: will this cow the press back into their standard meek, mild, and fearful mode, or will it finally shake them out of their complacency?
